A pencil portrait of Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings.

This must be... my third attempt at photorealism, and the first ever time using Bristol paper. (The first and second having been spaced throughout 4 years so I haven't really paid much attention to learning this side of traditional art.)
I'm so pleased with how it came out - a good month and a half went into this. I was mostly trying out a sort of layered attempt to drawing - the type of paper was so different to anything I'd used before, I had to change the way I drew to do it.

I had to make up his hair and some of his shirt because the reference photo was blurred.
